Get to know Mrs. Morgan by reading her bio below:
"My name is Ginger Morgan, and I am extremely excited to join the Avery Elementary School community and family for the 2020-2021 school year.
This year marks my 17th year in education. I began my career in 2003 at Riverbend Christian Academy teaching 3rd grade. Soon after, I moved to Providence Christian Academy to join the 6th grade team. In 2006, I moved to the Gwinnett County School System to teach 3rd and 4th grade at Puckett’s Mill Elementary School. While at PMES, I held several leadership roles, including School Improvement Team, Grade Level Chair, eClass Innovator, and Reading and Writing Workshop Model Classroom. I also served as mentor to several student teachers. I joined Creekland Middle School staff as a 6th grade ELA teacher, where I served as Data Team Co-Chair and Leadership Team member. In 2018, I transferred to E.T. Booth Middle School to work as the Instructional Lead Strategist. My role at EMBMS included leading Professional Development, mentoring new teachers, serving on Data Team and Leadership Team, and supporting teachers and administration.
I was raised in Georgia and have been a resident of Cherokee County since 2015. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia, Master of Science degree from Walden University, and Specialist degree from Liberty University. I also earned my Tier I Leadership Certificate from Kennesaw State and am currently working on my Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. I am scheduled to graduate this summer.
My husband and I live in the Sequoyah school district with our three daughters (22, 19, and 14). My oldest daughter attends Kennesaw State, my middle daughter attends Georgia Highlands, and my youngest daughter, (whose name is Avery ??) attends Sequoyah High School. We are very active in our church and in our community. I love watching Georgia football (#godawgs), cooking, do-it-yourself projects, reading, and running.
I am so excited to join the Avery family and look forward to meeting you all in-person very soon!"
